Africa is what I breathe. Organizational Culture Design and Strategic Advisory – is what I do.
I am Dr. Adama Ndjol Kouyaté, my lived experience as an entrepreneur, a creative, a personal development enthusiast, and my passion for sustainable development – have led me to be in the space of organizational culture design and informed my work as a nonprofit organization specialist, a sustainability policy advisor, a life and mindfulness coach, and an event facilitator. I have an international development background working with well-known organizations in the United State of America, Africa and Europe in multiple areas encompassing philanthropy, nonprofit and for-profit sector, organizational culture design, impact investment, and higher education.
For more than 15 years, I have walked alongside individuals, corporations, and government agencies, supporting them in performing effectively and strategically: creating a space that allows them to flourish. I find great satisfaction in working with leaders, especially those on the African continent and advancing women causes. To that end I have established two management consulting agencies: AnKOR Advisors LLC, and Farafina Consulting.
I am multilingual, speaking five West-African languages, English and French, and am comfortable working in a range of cultural settings. I come from a long line of storytellers, the Djélis (Griots) in West-Africa; and leveraging on that cultural capital, storytelling and advisory are part of my DNA
I hold a PhD in International Business Management (ISM) from the International School of Management in Paris, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from New York University (NYU), a Bachelors of Business Administration from The Bernard M. Baruch College, and a Coaching Certification from Team Coaching International, California.
In my spare time I indulge in the world of film. I love storytelling through films, and serve on a film jury for Acheampong Studios, an independent talent driven studio of motion pictures and arts, based in Ghana. I am part of the management, creative and production team as well. I love to write, read, and travel, and appreciate the arts and culture.
